Nobel Prize in Medicine to be Awarded to Three Researchers
The Nobel Prize in Medicine will be awarded to Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann, and Georg Nagel "for their discoveries concerning light-activated ion channels and optogenetics": the use of light for medical purposes.
