Torah perspective

When a child is threatened in a public school and the institution shrugs, the Torah's instinct is not quiet endurance. The law of the pursued and the pursuer (rodef v'nirdaf) teaches that the one being hunted is not obligated to wait for the system to wake up. A parent who calls 911 is not being aggressive; they are being a shomer, a guardian, which is precisely what the verse demands when blood is at stake. The school's silence does not transfer responsibility away from the family. It transfers it back. Protecting a Jewish child from a bomb threat is not politics. It is the oldest obligation we have.
